Unkomplizierter Barolo aus unterschiedliochen Lagen in La Morra: Serradenari, Fossati, Boiolo and Roncaglie. Eleganz und Mineralität dominieren: Rosenblüten, rote Früchten, Brombeeren, Minze, Tabak, Schokolade. Der Tannin ist gut eingebunden.
"The 2017 Barolo is a gorgeous wine. Bold, rich and ample in the glass, the Barolo possesses terrific depth and tons of character. Juicy dark cherry, plum, spice and licorice meld together in a forward, bold Barolo that will drink nicely with minimal cellaring. There is some edginess to the tannin, but this is nicely done." Antonio Galloni - Vinous
"This wine draws its fruit from the Serradenari, Boiolo, Fossati and Roncaglie vineyards in La Morra. The M. Marengo 2017 Barolo achieves a level of immediate elegance and balance that was by no means easy to achieve in this challenging and hot vintage. The Marengo family has successfully harnessed the floral and more graceful side of the vintage fruit, with wild berry and powdered licorice. You do feel the youthful tannic tightness in this release, so give this wine a few extra years to unwind and soften. This was a release of 10,700 bottles." Monica Larner - Robert Parker
