Im Cru Calderara sind von den insgesamt 11 Hektar etwa 1,5 mit Reben aus der Zeit vor der Reblauskatastrophe (prephylloxera) bestockt. Das Rebalter liegt zwischen 40 und 140 Jahren. Aus diesen Reben wird der Prephylloxera produziert. Dicht, warm, komplex aber gleichzeitig geschmeidig und rund. Dank seiner Komplexität empfehlt man den Wein (auch wenn jung) zu dekantieren.
