Cavallotto, Barolo riserva docg Cru Vignolo 2013

Der Barolo Vignolo zeigt sich erstaunlicherweise schon viel offener als der Cru San Giuseppe. Trotz der Wärme des Jahrgangs 2013 und der Koplexität und Struktur vom Wein, zeigt der Vignolo eine angenehme Frische und einen leichten Zugang. Typische Nebbiolo Noten von dunklen Früchten, Menthol, Lakritze, Leder und Schokolade. Ich finde ihn schon jetzt zugänglich, allerdings wird der Barolo in ein paar Jahren noch mehr Spaß machen.

"The 2013 Barolo Riserva Vignolo surprises for the sheer darkness and saturation of its color. Upfront and without too much bother, the wine offers immediate richness and concentration with dark berry fruit, plum and dried cherry. There is a lot of intensity here, but the wine is more horizontal and broad in character than it is vertical per se. In other words, it shows a heavy center of gravity, and its very character is focused on richness and power.
