"Exquisite nose of ripe berries, notes of hot ash and even Sicilian capers. Full-bodied and silky with a dense, fruity core and well-integrated tannins. An excellent, flamboyant Barolo that’s almost ready to go, but will only gain from further cellaring. Enjoy from 2023. 95/100" James Suckling
"The 2016 Barolo Riserva emerges from the oldest vines of Giachini. It shows the depth and power of this important vintage. Strong torrefaction notes and complexity, but also a feeling of slight oxidation, that makes me think it won´t be terribly long lived. In a Barolo like this, a Riserva, I would like to see more persistence and complexity." Antonio Galloni -Vinous
