Mario Marengo, Barolo docg Bricco delle Viole 2017

Die Lage Bricco delle Viole ist eine der höchst gelegene Nebbiolo Lagen. Etwas leichter und samtiger als der Brunate aber kräftiger als der Basis Barolo. 2017 ist kräftig und tanninhaltig im Geschmack und duftend nach roten Früchte, Sauerkirschen, Laktitze und Anis. Er braucht auf jedem Fall noch ein paar Jahren Lagerung.

The wine shows wild berry fruit, sour cherry, dried violet and lilac, with dried licorice root and aniseed. You'll notice the tannins, especially if this wine is tasted too young, so give it time."
