2016 war ein fantastisches Barolo-Jahr. Auch die Riserva Brunate von Marengo, die nur in besonderen Jahren produziert wird, ist sehr fruchtbetont und körperreich. Die Struktur ist komplex, rund und langhaltend am Gaumen. Das Holz ist präsent und spürbar im Glas. Die Tanninen sind auch spürbar aber nicht zu sehr dominant. Noten von Rosenblüten, Kirsche, rote Beeren, Lakritze, Tabak, Schokolade.
